High-pressure water atomiser

Energy saving
Consuming 4W per 1l/h of atomised water, the humiFog humidifier is the most economic solution of all humidifying systems. This new device used energy of high water pressure created by spray nozzles. Each nozzle has a laser cut orifice made of synthetic ruby that creates tiny mist with practically no wear. The nozzles are produced by Atomising System Inc.
humiFog humidifying system, totally different from standard air-water atomising systems, does not require any compressor or air supply duct. The system does not recirculate water used, which hampers bacteria development. Thanks to these features, humiFog humidifiers have the most versatile spectrum of application out of all humidifying systems known. It can be used for humidifying ambient air or in an air-conditioning unit, in industry or in product storage and seasoning.

Principle of operation
In the humiFog humidifying system, water pressure is raised up to 70 bar by a piston pump and then it is atomised via nozzles onto the evaporating mist droplets. Over 90% mist droplets are smaller than 5 microns, which causes their rapid evaporation.

System components:

  • Main pumping unit
With capacity control, with water flow in the range from 40 to 400 l/h with directly controlled piston pumps with engine power up to 750 W. Higher flows are achieved by parallel installation of 2 pumps. Pressure and flow rate are controlled depending on the need under given operating conditions by modification of pump engine revolutions.

  • Patented spray nozzles
(USA patent No: 5620142, Italian patent No : 01278079)
Pump casing made of stainless steel AISI316 with an orifice made of synthetic ruby. Almost wear-resistant orifice produced with laser technology ensures absolute and consistent precision. Due to its practically unlimited resistance it has a long life-cycle and does not wear.

  • Microprocessor control system
Thanks to the application of inverters, the system controls water pressure and flow, as well as monitors operation of the humidifying system, thus limiting maintenance needs.
Control can be independent if an external humidity sensor is connected or, else, the unit can be controlled from an external controller.

  • Sterowanie z dystansu
By the application of RS485 interface, the control unit can be connected to the terminal of the humivisor controller with a graphic display, which makes it possible to connect up to 4 humidifiers located at a distance of up to 1000 meters. Operating parameters of each humidifier can be programmed and read directly with a use of the ‘humivisor’ controller. The same interface can be connected to the supervision and monitoring system.
Duct humidifying
Water with high pressure (preferably demineralised) supplied by the pumping unit (1) enters spray nozzles (2) mounted in a special vibration inducing device (3) located inside the air-conditioning unit where the atomised water is mixed with air passing through the duct, which considerably reduces the distance required for humidity absorption by air. The percentage of evaporated mist depends on the temperature and velocity of passing air, as well as on the relative humidity achieved. Non-evaporated droplets of water are separated by a mist filter (4) located at the bottom of the vessel (5) and they are immediately discharged. The control system located in the pumping unit measures relative humidity via a sensor (6) or receives a control signal from the external controller. It controls pressure and flow of atomised water by regulating revolutions of the pump motor, and if required, controls the operation of nozzles with solenoid valves.

Ambient air humidifying
Direct ambient air humidifying that helps avoid condensation is achieved by ‘dry mist’ generators (7) which have been provided with special spray nozzle tips and a pumping unit. Generators emit only tiny, micron-size rapidly evaporating mist droplets. Larger droplets are removed by a special filter, collected and discharged gravitally. Dry mist distributors are available in various size and configuration – with vertical or horizontal outlet.

How to understand the code of the humiFog humidifier UA 060 H D 000

  • UA - letters indicating a gas humidifier
  • 060 = 60kg/h - three digits indicating steam generation capacity in kg/h
  • H - letter indicating type of control; modulation control with an external humidity sensor
  • D - letter indicating type of power supply, D = 230V, single-phase
